Ayuntamiento de Agres: Agres hat etwas weniger als 600 Einwohner (Stand 2019). Die Gemeinde Agres liegt in der Comarca / dem Landkreis Condao de Cocentaina / Comtat. Die Altstadt liegt auf einem Hügel. Sie ist umgeben von der Sierra de Mariola und der Sierra de Agullent. Die Ursprünge reichen bis 40.000 Jahre vor Christi zurück. Der Name entstammt wahrscheinlich der Römerzeit – Ager / Feld oder Agger Anhöhe. Neben der Agrarwirtschaft mit Obstanbau, gibt es auch Ölmühlen, etwas Textilindutrie und Metallhandwerk.
